A senior partner in the Buffalo, New York law firm of Magavern Magavern Grimm LLP, Laurence H. Woodward is Chairman of its Estates and Trusts Department. He specializes in estate planning, probate law, estate and trust taxation and administration, and elder law.

Mr. Woodward is a member of the Estate Analysts of Western New York, the New York State Bar Association (Trusts and Estates Law Section), and the Erie County Bar Association for which he served for four years as Chairman of its Surrogate’s Court Practice Committee.

He is a Director of Niagara Lutheran Health System, Chair of the Board of Directors of its affiliate, Lutheran Church Home of Buffalo, Inc. and a member of its Long Range Planning Committee. He serves as counsel to The Children’s Guild and St. John’s Lutheran Home for Children.

Mr. Woodward is well versed in Elder Law, including lifetime conservation and management of assets, health care proxies and living wills, Medicare, Medicaid and long-term care issues.

Mr. Woodward has lectured frequently on various estate and trust planning topics for professional and community organizations.
