Richard A. Grimm, Jr. is a senior partner in the law firm of Magavern Magavern Grimm LLP. He concentrates his practice in the areas of estate planning, probate law, estate and trust taxation, estate administration and business law.
Mr. Grimm is a member of the Surrogate’s Committee of the Erie County Bar Association, the New York State Bar Association (Trust and Estates Section) and the Erie County Bar Association for which he served three years as a Director.
Mr. Grimm served as counsel to St. Amelia’s R.C. Church, The Inn Keepers Association of Western New York, and has represented the trust departments of several banks concerning estate and trust matters. He serves as an advisor to the Bishop’s Committee of the Catholic Diocese of Buffalo and has lectured on various corporate, estate and trust planning topics for professional and community organizations. Mr. Grimm is a graduate of the University of Buffalo School of Business Administration and the State University of New York at Buffalo Law School. He is admitted to practice in all New York Courts, and all Federal Courts, including the Second Circuit Court of Appeals where he has argued several major cases. He is also admitted to practice before the Internal Revenue Service where he has handled numerous cases and appeals.
