Aven Rennie is a partner in the Buffalo, New York law firm of Magavern Magavern Grimm LLP, concentrating her practice in commercial litigation, health law, municipal law, trademark and copyright law and appeals.

Ms. Rennie handles guardianship proceedings for a large area hospital system and for private clients. She has conducted physician fair hearings under hospital bylaws and advised hospital administrators in patient ethics. She has represented a large area HMO and a large area hospital system in commercial litigation involving contract disputes. Ms. Rennie is a magna cum laude graduate (B.A., English) of the State University of New York at Stony Brook, and a cum laude graduate (J.D.) of the State University of New York at Buffalo School of Law, where she taught legal research and writing. Ms. Rennie was admitted to the Bar in 1980, and served for six years in the Manhattan Litigation Bureau of the New York State Department of Law as a Deputy Assistant and then Assistant Attorney General under Robert Abrams. She later practiced in northern New Jersey and in Western New York. Ms. Rennie is admitted to practice in New York State and Federal courts, including the U.S. Supreme Court, and is a member of the New York State Bar Association, the Erie County Bar Association, and the Western New York Chapter of the Women's Bar Association of New York.
