Rosa S. Svisco is special counsel to the Buffalo, New York law firm of Magavern Magavern Grimm LLP, heading up the immigration department. She limits her practice to the area of immigration law. Her practice includes employment-based immigration (both temporary and permanent) and involves intracompany transfers, investors, professionals and other types of white-collar business immigration. Also included in her practice are family-based immigration matters and matters requiring special permission to enter the United States.

Ms. Svisco is a graduate of the State University of New York at Buffalo, where she received her Bachelor's degree in Political Science, with honors, in 1976. She completed her graduate legal studies at Ohio Northern University, where she was awarded her Juris Doctor degree in 1983.

Ms. Svisco is a Director of the International Institute of Buffalo and was Chairperson for the May 2008 Fundraiser Event. She is a Parish Council member of St. Mary's Church of Swormville, serving as Vice President during 2008-2009 and as Volunteer Coordinator for the Auction Event of May 2008.

Ms. Svisco is a member of the Bar Association of Erie County, the New York State Bar Association and the American Immigration Lawyers Association.
